Important: Club Behavioural Code of Conduct

This is an import message for all families to share with your young swimmers.

Please find the Club’s Code of Conduct attached.

The Code contains two parts, the first concerns Swimmer behaviours; the second, Parent/Guardian behaviours.

Please read the Code with your Swimmer and ensure they understand what is expected of them in and around the pool.

Please sign the Code and return it to ntc.swimming@gmail.com

Unfortunately, there have been too many instances of behaviour that have failed to meet the standards set out in the Code since our return to NARC.

I will be on pool deck tomorrow and Saturday morning to have a discussion with our older swimmers about the importance of respecting each other, and particularly respecting our coaches (who have a difficult enough job). Please help us to reinforce this message in your conversations at home.

As a side note, there has been a lot of change over the past few years in the National and State policy settings around creating a safe environment for young swimmers. The Club Committee has therefore made a decision to review the current Code for 2024/25. You will hear more about this over the coming months.

Thank you

Crispin Butteriss
Club President
