(Belated) Congratulations to Our 2024 Swim Club Champions and Award Winners!
23 Nov 2024 by Crispin Butteriss
As President of Northcote Swim Club, it brings me immense joy—albeit a little belatedly—to celebrate the incredible achievements of our swimmers, coaches, and volunteers this year. Swimming is about much more than just times on the board—it’s about determination, resilience, and the camaraderie that binds us together. The following champions and award recipients have exemplified all these qualities, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.

This year’s Age Group Champions have shown incredible effort and commitment throughout the season. Congratulations to:

Special recognition goes to Joshua Martin, crowned Junior Champion for the boys. Your dedication has truly paid off!
Senior Champion
While no names were listed this year, we know our senior swimmers have put in a tremendous effort. Your leadership in the pool inspires our younger members to aim high!
Best Club Person
A huge congratulations to Nicholas Malcolm, who has gone above and beyond for the club this year. This award reflects your hard work, dedication, and commitment to fostering our values of teamwork, friendship, and excellence.
Coach Awards
Our swimmers wouldn’t be where they are without the guidance and support of our incredible coaches. This year, we are delighted to recognize:
• Bronze: Esther Millard
• Silver: Raf Butteriss
• Gold/Senior: Charlie Butteriss
Thank you for your leadership and for helping our swimmers strive for their personal bests every day.
Looking Ahead
While it’s wonderful to reflect on these achievements, the season isn’t over yet! With the final competitions of the year fast approaching, our swimmers are training hard to finish the year on a high. Many will be pushing to achieve State Age qualifying times, and we’re excited about the possibility of assembling relay teams for the State Age Championships in December. Let’s keep the momentum going and cheer each other on for a strong finish to 2024!
Congratulations again to all our winners and to everyone who has made this season so memorable. Let’s keep striving for personal bests and celebrating the amazing community we’ve built.
See you at the pool!
