Club Night Highlights – Celebrating Effort, Energy & Team Spirit
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Swim Club Encouragement Meet on Saturday night! From the youngest Bronze swimmers to our more seasoned Gold squad, the evening was full of courage, close races, and club pride.
The 100m Individual Medley results are attached to this post – more results will be posted later this week. The IM is my favourite event to watch. A true test of skill and resilience—four strokes, four laps, and one big challenge. Short enough to be an all out sprint, long and varied enough to test a swimmer!
The atmosphere was electric, with loud cheers from the benches and outstanding effort from every swimmer who hit the water. We had 19 swimmers racing the 100m IM for the first time, and 6 swimmers set new Personal Bests.
I was especially inspired by the younger swimmers, who rose to the occasion with focus and determination—whether they finished with a PB or simply gave it a go, we’re incredibly proud of them all.
🙏 A quick apology:
An earlier version of the Meet Program was accidentally printed, which meant some swimmers were missing from the hard copy. I’m sorry for the confusion this caused, especially for some of our younger swimmers. The next Club Meet will feature new timing equipment and meet software, which should make everything that little bit smoother.
👏 Thank you to:
Our amazing parent volunteers – timers, marshals, cheer squad, setup and pack-down pros.
The hardworking Club Committee – for keeping things humming behind the scenes.
Our fantastic coaches – Ian, Hayley, and Nicholas – for encouraging every swimmer to be brave, aim high, and enjoy the race.
Club Nights like this are a powerful reminder of what makes our club special: supportive energy, team spirit, and the joy of trying something new.
Thanks again for being part of such a positive and memorable evening.
💙
Swim for wellbeing, strive for personal best, celebrate team.
