As our club continues to grow, we’re looking for two parents who would be willing to help support the smooth running of the club behind the scenes.
These are not huge jobs, but they are important ones — and spreading the load across more families helps keep the club sustainable, welcoming and community-driven.
Competition Coordinator
This role would help manage the administrative side of competitions across the year. That includes things like:
* coordinating meet entries and reminders
* helping families navigate competition information
* liaising with coaches and Swimming Victoria where required
* assisting with relay coordination and team entries
Good organisation and clear communication are probably more important than swimming knowledge.
Communications Support
This role would help with general club communications, including:
* TeamApp posts and reminders
* newsletters and updates
* helping celebrate swimmer achievements and club events
* keeping information flowing clearly to families
This would suit someone who enjoys writing, organising information, or helping build community connection within the club.
Importantly, both roles would be supported by existing committee members and coaches — nobody will be thrown in the deep end.
Like most community sporting clubs, Northcote Swim Club relies heavily on volunteer support from parents and families. We have a fantastic community, but as the club grows, we need a few more people to step forward so that the workload remains manageable and sustainable.
If you think you may be able to help — even if you’re unsure or would just like to understand what’s involved — please speak to a committee member or send us a message.
Thanks again to all the parents and volunteers who already contribute so much to the club each week. It genuinely makes a difference.
